Genetic research
Wool fineness is a subject that has been worked on by Australian and New Zealand breeders for over 50 years: between genetic selection and the adaptation of the breed to its territory, our friends from the Southern Hemisphere have taken a considerable lead over us.
It's time to make up for lost time, and in mid-2025 we will be bringing on board a talented engineer from Agro Paris Tech to lead this innovation.
It will benefit from the technical expertise of our partner breeders in France and abroad, and from the Bergerie Nationale de Rambouillet, located just a few kilometers from our pilot herd.
Wool fineness is a very hereditary trait, which makes research easier.
After a precise inventory of the best fine wools in Europe, we will develop two pilot herds in the Ile de France and the Paca region, each adapted to their terroir, which we will shear in the spring of 2027. Within two years, we will therefore have wool that will compete with the best Australian and New Zealand wools.

Dyeing tests
Dyeing natural materials is exciting because it offers a wide range of possibilities. The proximity of engineering schools like Centrale Supelec and startups already operating in the field will make it easier to explore new avenues!

Search for mesh points
The fashion industry is extremely creative, especially with the latest flat-bed knitting machines. Acquiring a state-of-the-art STOLL machine will allow us to quickly offer our clients creative knit effects, truly differentiating factors in their markets.
